Parents' Council

LVC Parents’ Council volunteers strive to involve parents in the life of the College and serve as a resource for fellow parents. Members participate in the following events and activities to speak with new, current, and future parents of LVC students, providing a parents' perspective on everything LVC.

  • Opening Week (New Student Move-in Day)
  • Homecoming
  • Discovery Days
  • Emails and phone calls

Volunteer Commitment
Parents’ Council has representation during eight to ten campus events each year, as well as opportunities to be involved at a distance via email and phone calls. Volunteer commitments are as members are available—we ask volunteers to commit to participating in several events per year, at a minimum.

Volunteer Impact

Parents' Council members make a difference at LVC by finding their strength in volunteering through some or all of the following:

  • Admission and Recruitment: sharing the Lebanon Valley College experience with prospective students and their families.
  • Philanthropy: supporting the Lebanon Valley College experience through donations to The Valley Fund, student scholarships, and much more.
  • Career Development: believing in the Lebanon Valley College experience through hiring or recommending the hiring of LVC student interns or full-time employment.
