The College Store
Located in the Mund
College Center, the College Store provides students a place to purchase
textbooks and other course materials. In addition, the College Store has LVC
clothing and paperback books, including those authored by LVC professors and
alumni, educational supplies, toiletries, stationary, gifts, and other items
available for purchase.
Purchases at the College Store may be made
by cash, check, student account (minimum charge on a student charge account
is $15), and the following credit cards: Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and
American Express. College Store charges are transferred to the Business Office
at the end of the month; however, they are not itemized on the Business Office
statement of account. It is the student's responsibility to maintain detailed
purchase records.
The College Store also offers the
following services: (1) UPS Shipping Service, (2) Stamps, and (3) change (up to
$5 per day).
Textbooks:
- Students should
not write in their textbooks until they are sure they will be retaining the
book.
- If a book becomes
"Out of Stock" in the College Store, the student who wishes a copy
must notify the College Store staff. Students WILL be required to prepay for
out of stock books they want the store to order. The College Store will notify
the student via email and/or phone upon the arrival of the book. Students have
15 days after notification to pick up the book before it becomes property of
the College Store. The College Store will retain textbooks only for the first
two weeks of each semester. If a student needs a book after that time, they
will be required to pay an eight dollar charge to defray the cost of special
ordering
- Textbooks are
returnable only during the first week of each semester providing the student
has their receipt and add/drop slip. In order to receive full value, NEW books
must be returned in NEW condition. NEW books, NOT including Bundled packages
in cellophane/shrink-wrap, that are marked, damaged, or written in, may be
returned as a USED book for approximately 75 percent of the NEW book value.
- When returning bundled
packages, please note that they must be wrapped in the original cellophane
wrapping in order to be returned. Unwrapped Bundles MAY NOT be returned
until Book Buyback during the Finals week of each semester.
- Book Buyback occurs
during the finals week of each semester and gives students an opportunity to sell
back their books for cash.
