Adjunct Instructors in English
The Department of English at Lebanon Valley College is seeking an adjunct instructor with an MA or MFA, and experience teaching creative writing courses, especially screenwriting/ scriptwriting courses, to teach a scriptwriting workshop for the 2017 Fall semester. Also for the 2017 Fall semester, the Department is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a survey course in British literature from 1800, that caters to mostly non English majors. The successful candidate should have an MA and experience teaching writing and/or literature courses. Adjunct Instructor in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for an adjunct position teaching the Principles of Chemistry I & II lecture courses for the 2017-2018 academic year. This course meets on a MWF sequence from 9 – 9:50 am and the average class size is 30 students. Candidates with a Ph.D. or M.S in Chemistry or Biochemistry or nearing completion are preferred, but B.S. level candidates with substantive teaching experience will also be considered. Adjunct Instructor in Low Brass
The Department of Music at Lebanon Valley College seeks an adjunct instructor in low brass. The successful candidate will teach individual lessons and courses in low brass literature and low brass pedagogy, and direct the College’s low brass ensemble. Qualifications include a Master's degree in music and college-level teaching experience is desirable. Responsibilities include teaching 30- or 60-minute weekly lessons to undergraduate students (music majors and non-majors), prepare music majors for biannual performance juries, and prepare select students for recitals. Teach courses in pedagogy and literature on an as-needed basis. Direct the low brass ensemble and prepare biannual on-campus performances. Provide appropriate course syllabi to all students. Participate in annual teaching evaluations.
Lebanon Valley College offers four music degrees: BS in Music Education, BM in Audio & Music Production, BA in Music Business, and BA in Music. These programs enroll 10% of the total student population at LVC and are recognized as a special strength of the College.
