Adjunct Instructor in Comparative Politics
The Department of History, Politics and Global Studies at Lebanon Valley College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one Comparative Politics course in Spring 2018 (January 15-May 10); at least 50% of the course material must focus on the developing world. Qualifications include a M.A. or Ph.D. in Political Science or related field. The Department of English at Lebanon Valley College is seeking an adjunct instructor with an MA or MFA, and experience teaching creative writing courses, especially screenwriting/ scriptwriting courses, to teach a scriptwriting workshop for the 2017 Fall semester. Also for the 2017 Fall semester, the Department is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a survey course in British literature from 1800, that caters to mostly non English majors. The successful candidate should have an MA and experience teaching writing and/or literature courses. Adjunct Instructor of Cello
The Department of Music at Lebanon Valley College seeks an adjunct instructor of cello. The successful candidate will teach individual lessons and courses in cello literature and cello pedagogy. Qualifications include a Master's degree in music and college-level teaching experience is desirable. Responsibilities include teach courses in cello pedagogy and literature on an as-needed basis and provide appropriate course syllabi to all students; teach 30- or 60-minute weekly cello lessons to undergraduate students (music majors and non-majors); prepare music majors for biannual performance juries; prepare select students for recitals, and participate in annual teaching evaluations.
Lebanon Valley College offers four music degrees: BS in Music Education, BM in Music Recording Technology, BA in Music Business, and BA in Music. These programs enroll 10% of the total student population at LVC and are recognized as a special strength of the College.
