Medical Insurance

Part-time employees may buy health insurance through LVC's insurance group. Complete program benefits and costs are available in the Human Resource Office, Humanities 108.

 

Retirement Plan

Participation in the College's Retirement plan through TIAA is voluntary. An employee may contribute a minimum of 5% of gross base salary on a monthly basis. if the employee works 1000hr/yr the College will contribute 9%. The retirement plan is fully vested in the name of the employee.

 

Section 125 Plan

The College offers a modified cafeteria plan under section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. Employees may elect to deduct health care premiums on a pre-tax basis, as well as establish a Flexible Spending account for health and/or dependent care costs.

 

Sick Leave (non faculty)

The College provides 10 days to those employees working more than 1000 hrs/year. They may be used to care for an ill family member or to attend doctor's appointments. Up to two days may be used as personal days.

 

Vacation

Part-time employees who work more than 20hrs. year round are eligible for 20 vacation days each year, five of which are taken between Christmas and New Year's Day. After six years of service, a total of 25 days are granted and after 20 years of service, 30 days are granted.

 

Employee Assistance Program

The EAP is available for part-time employees, their spouses, and dependent children. The College provides three sessions per year of professional counseling services.

 

Tuition Remission

50% of Lebanon Valley College tuition is provided for the employee with no waiting period. 50% of Lebanon Valley College undergraduate tuition is provided for a spouse and/or dependent children after a two-year waiting period.

 

Holidays

New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following day, and Christmas Day. These are paid holidays offered to employees who work more than 1000hrs/yr.

 

Bishop Library

Free use of the library materials including new release books, DVD's, and music.

 

Dining Services

Employee discounts are offered at campus dining facilities.

 

LVC College Store

 20% discount at the LVC College Store located in the Mund College Center.

 

LVC Sports Center

Free basic membership to the LVC Sports Center. Employees may upgrade to a gold membership for an additional $10 per month. Spouses/domestic partner and eligible dependents may be added to their basic membership as a one-time processing fee of $5 per person and may upgrade to the gold membership for $10 per month per person. Membership is valid for the length of employment.

 

Technology Discounts

Verizon and AT&T Customers received up to 18% discount off their monthly bill. Discounts are also available for purchasing Lenovo and Apple products for personal use, and with Journey Ed for purchasing software.
