Lebanon Valley College Fiscal Year Fundraising Ends June 30
06.26.13 |
The 2012–2013 Lebanon Valley College fiscal year ends June 30, and The Valley Fund team is nearing its goal of $900,000 and 18 percent alumni participation. As of this writing, 15.63 percent of Valley grads (2,354 alumni) have contributed $872,367 to The Valley Fund, which directly supports services and opportunities that students depend on each day—scholarships, instruction, library resources, technological resources, and student activities.

Christopher Weber ’13 was a recipient of a 2012-13 Rowland W. Barnes ’62 Scholarship for students actively involved in civic engagement. This fall, Weber will pursue a master’s degree in international relations at the University of San Francisco.

“I cherish the learning environment at LVC,” Weber said. “It fosters constant academic achievement, augmented by the ability to form legitimate relationships with my professors and classmates. The Rowland Barnes Scholarship has pushed me to work even harder and be more diligent. I am not only working for my own future, but I am reminded daily via this scholarship that I am working for something superior.”

Weber is pictured at right with Barnes Scholarship committee members Skip Dellinger '62, Bob Stull '62 and Nancy Wagner Stull '64 at Inquiry 2013, and is among the 95 percent of undergraduate students that receive some form of institutional aid thanks generous gifts to The Valley Fund.
