Alumni Gather for Holiday Celebrations

Lebanon Valley College’s 15,500+ alumni enjoy getting together at all times of the year, but during the holidays these reunions are even more sweet. A program in its second year and sponsored by the Office of Alumni Programs will bring together nearly 120 Pennsylvania alumni for a time to “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry.”

“We love when we get to see alumni come together with friends and family during any of our events throughout the year—Oktoberfest, Alumni Weekend, athletic contests, and regional events,” said Jayanne Hayward ’01, director of alumni program. “But there’s something special in the opportunity to reconnect around the holiday season that reinforces the unique bond that we have with our alma mater and each other.”

The festive “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” holiday events visit pubs and breweries in the midstate and Philadelphia, including Appalachian Brewing Company, Loxley’s at Heritage Hills Hotel, Troeg’s Brewing Company, and Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant. They are open to any LVC alumni, as well as faculty members and current students from the venue’s area.

The Lebanon Valley College alumni network is strong, and events like these form even stronger bonds and help to connect current students to the alumni who will assist in finding a job and career mentoring long after they leave their beloved Valley.

It’s not too late to register for an “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” holiday party near you. Visit www.lvc.edu/alumni/events.aspx to register for the Dec. 4 event in Lancaster, Dec. 6 event in Hershey, or the Dec. 11 event in Philadelphia.
