R||:evolution Music Conference: Back to 8 Bit, the eighth annual student-run music conference at Lebanon Valley College, is bringing big names in the music industry to Central Pennsylvania on Nov. 17 in Blair Music Center. Until Nov. 15, pre-registration is free; after Nov. 15 the cost will be $20 at the door. Pre-registration includes lunch and a sponsor goodie bag; registration at the door will include lunch.

High school students may attend as guests of LVC's Admissions Office and should email Robert Marti (marti@lvc.edu) to register.

According to LVC junior and conference chair Betty Ross, the "class puts a lot of hard work and effort into planning and hosting this conference; we only get to meet for an hour once a week and many hours are put in outside of class. It's definitely worth it in the end though; RMC is a wonderful educational and networking experience. You get the chance to meet and talk one-on-one with experts from all over the world."

The conference features experts in a plethora of panels: Internet and Music, Christian Music, Network Broadcasting and Musicians, Song Publishing, How to Make a Living, Songwriting, and the first Industry Expert Mashup. Presentation topics include Songwriting Techniques That Get Results, Ten Secrets to Success in the Music Business, and Online Branding Control.

R||:evolution Music Conference's industry experts coming from Nashville, Canada, Connecticut, and Philadelphia include:

•Jimmy Della Croce, publicist and talent manager for multiple artists including Martina McBride, Beach Boys, Badfinger and more. He is also a two-time Telly award-winning producer.

• Paula Savastano, owner of Savastano, Schmel & Associates LLC. Savastano has made a career in copyright, licensing, and royalties, and has worked for many music publishers.

• Sherri Mullen, an award-winning singer and songwriter, and the owner of RockDiva & Sugar Daddy Publishing. She has released four full-length CDs and has been featured in film, TV, and radio.

• Bill Pere, Grammy award-winning songwriter and author.
