Celebrate the Holiday in Central PA

Don’t let the stress of finals ruin your holiday spirit! There are plenty of activities in Central Pennsylvania to get you in the mood for the upcoming winter holidays. Take a break between papers and check out some of these local attractions.

Christmas Candylane at Hersheypark

This annual Christmas event at Hersheypark is open through the end of December. Sip hot cocoa and ride any of the more than 30 rides open in the park. Enjoy the festive decorations, lights, and music as you walk around this splendid winter wonderland! Tickets are $12.95 each, and parking is $8 per car.

Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this spectacular holiday market features hundreds of skilled artisans, delicious food, and live music. The event also features opportunities for attendees to create their own glass ornament. Open until Dec. 23, this annual event in Bethlehem, Pa. is only $13 a ticket and an hour and a half away from Annville.

Hershey Sweet Lights

Drive through two miles of more than 600 animated light displays and take in the beauty of a wonderful ride through the woods! Tickets are $20 per car on weekdays and $25 on weekends.

Ice Cream with Santa at the Turkey Hill Experience

Eat unlimited ice cream and get a free iced tea or lemonade with Santa at the Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia, Pa. Take the tour and learn about the ice cream making process. Tickets are $10.50 for the Turkey Hill Experience and $4.95 for ice cream with Santa.

Hershey’s Chocolate World and the 2012 Holiday Chocolate House

Enjoy a free ride on the Great American Chocolate Tour Ride, shop around the largest Hershey’s chocolate store, make your own chocolate bar, and see an entire house made out of chocolate at this timeless attraction! Decked out for the holidays, don’t miss this thrifty and entertaining attraction.

Indoor Drive-In Movies at the Antique Auto Museum

See a variety of favorite holiday movies at the indoor drive-in at the Antique Auto Museum, including “Arthur Christmas,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and “Santa Buddies.” Included in the $10 museum admission, movies are shown daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
