LVC Announces Spring Entertainment Line Up
12.21.12 |
Lebanon Valley College’s Student Programming Board, Music Department, Wig and Buckle Theater Company, and Office of Spiritual Life have announced the entertainment for the spring semester in the Spring 2013 edition of the Live Calendar. Highlights include:

- January 30: Chapel Concert Series: Anthony Mossburg with Corey Robert ’14
Mossburg is an acoustic singer/songwriter with fresh, edgy sounds true to his heart as an artist and as a person. His albums include "Cover Me" and "The Rambler" and he is currently headlining the “Resolution Hope 13A” campaign. LVC student Corey Robert '14 will open the show.

- February 1: An Evening of Comedy with BT
BT jokingly refers to himself as "A black redneck with a rock star attitude.” He has performed in more than 43 states, three countries and numerous television shows from SyFy’s “Black Scorpion” to the critically acclaimed HBO movie “Suckers.” He has been on MTV, BET, VH-1. BT’s Jerry Lewis-style energy is a favorite in the nationally touring comedy show “SELLOUT.”

- February 10: Distinguished Artists Series: Marina Lomazov
Described as “simply spectacular” by the International Music Foundation, Ukrainian-born pianist Marina Lomazov has established herself as one of the most charismatic performers today, praised for both her virtuosity and wit. Ms. Lomazov holds degrees from the Juilliard School and the Eastman School of Music, the latter granting her the highly coveted Artist’s Certificate—an honor the institution had not bestowed upon a pianist for nearly two decades.

- February 15-17, 22-24: Wig & Buckle Presents “The Comedy of Errors”
“The Comedy of Errors” follows two sets of twins separated at birth whose lives are once again entangled. Mistaken identities and bewildered characters are a staple in this delightfully charming, farcical Shakespearean comedy. Keifer Kemmerly ’14 will direct and members of the Wig and Buckle Theater Company will perform this classic Shakespeare show.

- March 23: “Vagina Monologues”
Lebanon Valley College students and staff present Eve Ensler’s “Vagina Monologues,” a series of monologues promoting female empowerment and eradicating violence against women. The show has been performed in more than 130 countries and translated into 45 languages. The play has won a series of awards for playwriting, solo performances, and theater.

- April 19 & 20: ValleyFest
Celebrating its 42nd year, this campus-wide music and arts festival for students and the community features games, foods, vendors, concerts, and more. Singer Tyler Hilton from the hit television show "One Tree Hill" will perform at 8 p.m. on April 19 with opening act Dion Roy; rapper and recording artist Sammy Adams will perform at 7 p.m. on April 20.
