Lebanon Valley College’s Annual Juried Art Exhibition: June 6-22
06.05.14 |
The Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery is proud to showcase the art of the region in the 43rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition at Lebanon Valley College. The show opens with a reception on Friday, June 6, from 5–7 p.m.

This LVC tradition will feature a variety of paintings, drawings, sculptures, assemblages, and photographs. With more than 160 entries submitted, this highly competitive show demonstrates the range of talent among regional artists. The show is comprised of work submitted by artists around the LVC community. However, participants from distant locations also submit work.

There are no restrictions on the type of work that is submitted, but there are some requirements. All pieces must be actual physical works for the juror to view, and each artist is limited to a maximum of four works. In addition, the pieces must have been completed within the last two years, and work submitted in previous LVC juried exhibitions is not eligible.

This year’s juror will be Dorothy Frey, pictured at right. Frey has taught drawing and painting at American University, Millersville University, Moore College of Art and Design and, most recently, she chaired the Fine Art Department at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Frey's oil paintings explore the natural and domestic habitats that form over time. She aims to achieve a sense of place influenced by her surroundings, her agrarian heritage and her interest in the history of painting.
