Recording Studios

We operate four recording studios including two multitrack facilities, a mastering suite, and pre-production lab. We are currently in the process of a staged renovation based on acoustic design by internationally regarded John Storyk of Walters-Storyk Design Group.

Studio A features a Trident Vector 432 large-format console, Sony APR-24 analog 24-track recorder, iZ Radar 24 multitrack, ProTools, and a large selection of outboard processors by Drawmer, Urei, Universal Audio, Lexicon, Focusrite, etc. Microphones include Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Shure, AEA, and many others.

Studio B is our classroom studio featuring a Toft ATB-24 console, iZ Radar II multitrack, ProTools HD, various signal processors and microphones.

Studio C is our mastering and surround facility. Mastering systems include Pyramix, Ozone, TC Electronics Finalizer Express, and Qure tube EQ. Surround mixing utilizes Waves Surround software running in ProTools HD on a ProControl console.

The pre-production lab is used for electronic music experimentation, composition, MIDI sequencing, etc, and is the primary room used for the Music Frontiers course which digs into electronic music exploration, circuit bending, and other creative ways of making music.
