"Music at LVC... a proud history, a lively art."
Since its very beginnings, LVC has had an extraordinary music program. Be it from when
President Hervin Roop (1897-1906)
changed the name of the Music Department to the Conservatory of Music in 1898 to today's multi-disciplinary program, music has indeed been a lively art at the Valley. As you stroll through the history of our program, enjoy and participate.
Dr. Paul Fisher '47
was a tremendous asset in the research of this history. His 1969,
Music: A Dominant Force in the First Century of Lebanon Valley College
, served as the basis for this history - thank you Dr. Fisher!
We realize that making additions to the history of music at LVC will be an ongoing process. We welcome any comments, additions and/or corrections. New information will regularly be added so please come back and visit.
