Admission Requirements

APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND START DATES
- LVC has MBA classes starting in August, October, January, March, and May.
- Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and action on your application will be taken immediately after all documentation has been received.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for admission must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as well as the interest, aptitude and ability to undertake graduate studies.

It is acceptable to submit materials together or individually as they are available. Documents may be mailed, emailed, or faxed the MBA Program using the information listed below.

All candidates must provide:
     - Official transcript from each college, university, or professional school attended for both undergraduate and any graduate work;
     transcripts should be signed and sealed by the issuing school and can be sent directly to the MBA office
     - An application, can be completed online at www.lvc.edu/mba/application.aspx
     - A $30 non-refundable application fee, checks can be made out to Lebanon Valley College and mailed to the MBA program; the fee is
     waived for military and LVC alumni
     - A current resume
     - A personal statement about how you will benefit from and contribute to the program

     - A personal interview with the director of the MBA program

Applicants should also have at least three years of substantial business or professional experience, an undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or successful completion of previous graduate work. Substantial professional experience, of at least 7 years, will be considered in applicants who fall below the GPA requirement.

Applicants with less than 7 years of substantial professional experience, and who fall below the admission criteria, should provide a GMAT score.

Every applicant's situation is individually evaluated based on prior academic performance, number of years and type of experience, other advanced degrees or graduate course work, and performance on GMAT testing (if submitted). Candidates may improve their opportunity for admission by providing a GMAT score or by successfully completing additional foundational coursework.

Permission may be granted to qualified individuals to take up to two courses (6 credits) in a visiting or conditional capacity. Submission of a current resume and an official transcript verifying satisfactory completion of a bachelor's degree or graduate coursework must be submitted to be considered to take courses as a visiting student.

PREREQUISITE COURSES

Students who have not completed an undergraduate course in either accounting or finance may be admitted conditionally to the program. These prerequisites must be met prior to taking MBA 805, MBA 875, and MBA 895 (and MBA 803 and 804 for the healthcare concentration). Students are expected to be proficient using Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet modeling. LVC offers both prerequisites, along with the optional courses in business math and spreadsheet modeling, in an on-line, self-paced format. They are offered each semester and may be taken along with MBA courses.
