CMI, Swim Instructors, Summer Camp Staff Requirements
LVC employees who work with children on a regular basis (CMI / Swim Instructors / Summer Camp staff) must complete the following background checks prior to the start of employment. Costs incurred to obtain these background checks are the responsibility of each employee. Background check clearances should be submitted to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
Required Background Checks:
1. Pennsylvania State Criminal History Record
Fee: $10 payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (can be paid online with a credit card)

2. Federal (FBI) Criminal History Report
Fee: $27.50 payable to Cogent Systems (can be paid online with a credit card)

3. Child Abuse Report
Fee: $10 money order, no personal checks accepted
Forms can be obtained by schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare

If employees have already obtained the above clearances from a current employer, they may provide Human Resources with those copies. Clearances not from a current employer are only valid if they are obtained within one year prior to their LVC start date.
