2011-2012 Year in Review

During fiscal year 2011-12 (July 1, 2011 through June30, 2012), Lebanon Valley College received gifts totaling $2,455,825 from 4,244 generous alumni, parents and friends of the College.

The Valley Fund
The Valley Fund raised a total of $841,603, including $724,031 for unrestricted purposes and $117,572 in restricted support for financial aid and academic programs. Additionally, unrestricted bequests and in-kind contributions accounted for an additional $90,555.

Alumni Participation
In total, 2447 alumni supported LVC in fiscal year 2012. This figure represents a 16.5 percent alumni participation rate, down from 18.3 percent in fiscal year 2011.

Team booster efforts raised more than $110,000 for Dutchmen Athletics. In addition, more than $350,000 was raised in commitments for the Athletic Field Enhancement project. Visit the Arnold Field Project webpage for more information on how to support the project.

Scholarships, Awards, and Prizes
During the 2012 fiscal year, two new endowed scholarships and two new endowed awards were established. In addition, three new current-use scholarships and a current-use prize fund were created. Current-use funds address the immediate need of eliminating the financial burden for our students.

Bequests and Trust Income
Total Bequest and Trust giving for the year amounted to more than $320,000. Of that total $30,000 was designated for specific scholarships and specified purposes, while $290,000 was unrestricted or in support of current operations.

The Mund College Center Campaign
The Mund College Center Campaign concluded with a solicitation of the campus family. More than $76,000 dollars was raised through a 70 percent participation rate of the faculty, staff, and emeriti. Overall, the Mund College Center Campaign raised more than $778,000 toward the building’s renovation.
