ACT 45 Courses for School Administrators
Act 45 requires all school and system leaders (Principals, Assistants or Vice Principals, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Intermediate Unit Executive Directors, Assistant Executive Director, Directors of Vocational-Technical Schools) to meet their Act 48 continuing professional education requirements through programs that address the three core and the six corollary Pennsylvania leadership standards.
The focus of Lebanon Valley College’s continuing professional education program for school and system leaders is to address current pressures and challenges faced by school district administrators by offering continuing education coursework that incorporates the best of education and business leadership as well as effective practices from each field.
The program has been designed to address all Pennsylvania leadership core and corollary standards, and courses are paired into complimentary topics (6 total courses, 3 pairs). The courses may be taken independently, or as an entire program. The courses will be taught by high quality instructors (superintendents and business experts), in a team-teaching approach.

ACT 48-Continuing Professional Education
All educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification must maintain active certificates by earning six collegiate credits (180 continuing education hours) every five calendar years.
Lebanon Valley College is a PDE approved ACT 48 continuing education provider: All undergraduate and graduate credit bearing courses are eligible for ACT 48 credit, if related to the area of certification. Courses that will fulfill ACT 48 continuing education credit are currently available in the Masters of Science Education (MSE) and Masters of Music Education (MME) graduate programs.
