Jo Margolis: Inscriptions
May 22 - June 28, 2009
A graduate of The University of Pennsylvania, the artist is trained as a sculptor, but this exhibition focuses on her more recent body of work executed in pen and ink on paper. Margolis' ink work is marked by dizzying patterns of intricate interlacing and repetitive patterns, which often take the shape of circles, knots and architectural facades. The artist will also exhibit several new large-scale scroll pieces, made specifically with the Arnold Art Gallery in mind. The artist has exhibited work at Franklin and Marshall College, the Reading Public Museum, and the Susquehanna Art Museum.
