Seating/Locations for Ceremonies
The Baccalaureate Ceremony takes place in Miller Chapel. Ceremony audio will be broadcast to attendees who choose to sit outside on the Academic Quadrangle at the Commencement site.
The Commencement Ceremony takes place on the Academic Quadrangle in favorable weather, and in the LVC Gymnasium in the event of inclement weather. There will be ample seating outside, but arriving early will ensure your chance of obtaining desirable seating. There will be limited protection from direct sun at the outdoor location. Guests should plan to dress appropriately.
In the event of inclement weather, tickets will be required for admission to the LVC Gymnasium. Please see the Tickets page for more information. An audio and video feed will broadcast the ceremony to overflow seating in the Arnold Sports Center Arena. The decision to move Commencement indoors will be made no later than 5 a.m. May 11, with gymnasium doors opening at 9 a.m.
Ushers and College officials will assist with seating for each ceremony. Special access and seating for disabled or physically impaired persons can be arranged through the Office of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education at 717-867-6213.
Regardless of location, the entire Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast live at www.lvc.edu/LVCtv
