LVC accounting students gain outstanding preparation for certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) or a certified management accountant (CMA). The accounting curriculum prepares students for careers in public accounting, government, industry, or finance. LVC accounting graduates have recently obtained jobs at Pricewaterhouse Coopers; The Hershey Company; Lockheed Martin; AIS, Inc.; and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
Business Administration Careers
LVC business administration majors may prepare for a variety of management positions in the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. The curriculum provides a solid background in management, marketing, finance, operations, economics, accounting, and international business. Business administration graduates of the Class of 2014 are employed as development directors, sales consultants, unemployment compensation managers, sales managers, and account executives.
LVC economics majors prepare for careers in government of the private sector - or for graduate school in business, economics, or law. The curriculum includes courses in economic game theory, public policy economics, international economics, environmental and natural resource economics, and econometrics. Recent economics graduates are employed as forecasting analysts, actuaries, management trainees and insurance analysts.
