Art Trips and Overseas Travels
Students in the Art and Art History Department have many avenues through which to explore the world and experience art first-hand. The department has a course on the art and culture of Paris, which offers students the chance to travel to this culturally rich European center. Closer to home, there are bus trips to New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Baltimore, allowing students to see world-renowned art collections up-close, and enjoy the diverse cultural fabric of major urban environments. Also, art and art history professors often take small groups of students to places of architectural or artistic significance, such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water or Seward Johnson's Grounds for Sculpture.
Students also have the option to study abroad.
