Independent Study
Students in the Art & Art History program may work with a faculty adviser on an Independent Study project if there is a specific learning objective that cannot be fulfilled within the AAH curriculum.
Independent Study projects are not substitutions for department courses, but extensions of the curriculum. Examples include art historical research, studio art exploration, or an interdisciplinary project combining art with another field of study.
Past Independent Study projects have included:
- Mallory Hane '08, research on environmental art
- Michael Manubay '11, figure painting
- Rebekkah Wilson '07, research on Australian aboriginal art
