Make Connections. Get Hired. is an annual networking event for students to meet alumni and parent professionals while also learning key tips and tricks that will enhance networking skills, job search knowledge, interview skills, and interpersonal communication. Alumni and parent volunteers assist session presenters by guiding students through each topic while also making new connections and professional contacts.

Alumni and parents from a variety of backgrounds, career fields, and experience levels are wanted to provide varying levels of knowledge and professional experience to our student participants.

In addition to providing students with an invaluable opportunity to learn from members of the LVC network, volunteers will also:

  • Connect with fellow alumni and parents in attendance
  • Gain professional development through sharing information about your career field in a different light
  • Learn new networking tips and etiquette pointers 
  • Make a difference in a student's job search

Participants will learn the basics of how to network and put their new knowledge into practice as alumni, parents, and students mingle and make connections throughout this workshop.

6:15-7:30 p.m.
Dinner Interview

Presented by Cyndi Coakley M'99
Dining Hall, Mund College Center
Alumni and parent volunteers will conduct a mock interview session with students, providing instant feedback. Throughout the dinner, professional dinner etiquette tips will be presented.

Recommended Attire: Business Casual
