LVEP mentors with Lebanon HS students

Investing in Our Future

Beginning in the eighth grade, students are identified who are doing well academically, but have financial or other circumstances that may prevent them from attending college. The partners are matched with current LVC students who serve as mentors throughout the students’ high school years. The partnership also provides great financial benefits for these economically disadvantaged students. If the student enrolls in college preparatory classes and maintains good academic standing in high school, he or she becomes eligible for a tuition scholarship at LVC.

Fifty-four LVEP students have graduated with their bachelor’s degree from LVC—at no cost to the student—since 2000. This is thanks in part to private charitable support and the annual Achievement Challenge Golf Tournament, supported by local businesses and volunteer leaders.
