Studio A

Studio A features an Audient ASP-8024 36-channel large-format console, Pro Tools HDX 24-channel recording system, Raven touch controller, Quested monitoring, mic preamps from Neve, API, and Universal Audio, and a large selection of outboard processors by Universal Audio, Manley, Avalon, Lexicon, Summit Audio, Dangerous, Focusrite, Yamaha, Drawmer, Urei, etc. Software plugins are from Waves, Universal Audio, McDSP, Avid, and others. Our extensive microphone collection includes models from Neumann, AKG, Royer, Earthworks, Sennheiser, MikTek, Shure, Avantone, AEA, and so on. Oh yeah, we can also mix to an awesome, honest-to-goodness analog 2-track recorder from 1979.

Studio B in Blair Music Center is a multitrack recording and sound design studio

Studio B

This multitrack recording and sound design studio is based on an Audient ASP-4816 analog console, Pro Tools with Raven touch controller, Dynaudio monitoring, Universal Audio interface, Neve and Focusrite mic preamps, various signal processors (analog and plugins), and numerous microphones.

Blair Music Center is home to Studio C - a mastering and game audio studio

Studio C

Our mastering and game audio studio features Quested monitoring, the Waves Mastering bundle, Alta Moda Unicomp analog compressor, Universal Audio plugin processors, Sequoia mastering software, FabFilter EQs and compressor plugins, and a sweet sounding Qure tube EQ. Game audio is designed and implemented in the Unreal game engine.

The experimental sound lab is used for electronic music exploration, circuit bending, and other creative ways of making music.

The Music Technology Center features individual workstations equipped with a Yamaha piano and an iMac computer

Music Technology Center

The Music Technology Center, located within Blair Music Center, is equipped with individual workstations that include Yamaha Arius Digital Pianos and Apple iMac computers.
