About The Program

The roles of accounting and finance professionals are expanding. Today’s accounting professionals need sound decision-making, negotiation, communication, and strategic-thinking skills. Our accelerated 3+1 accounting/MBA degree enables highly motivated students like you to earn a bachelor’s and MBA degree in only four years. This program enables students to move toward meeting the requirements necessary to achieve CPA licensure.

Graduates have gone on to work with a diverse group of employers ranging from national, regional, and local accounting firms; to manufacturing and consumer products companies; and to small businesses. Many alumni have successfully launched their own entrepreneurial ventures.

Why LVC?

  • LVC is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
  • Students also learn from real-world experts through the annual C.F. Tom Lecture in Economics and Springer Lecture in International Business, as well as from visiting Fulbright Scholars-in-Residence and Woodrow Wilson Fellows.
  • Students gain practical experience working with local accountants through the annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, assisting low-income, elderly, and otherwise disadvantaged taxpayers with completing their taxes.


This program allows me to graduate in four years with two degrees, internship experience, and an opportunity to study abroad–a combination that will make me very marketable in four years.
