Meet the Academic Affairs Staff

Michael Green
Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty

Before coming to Lebanon Valley College in July of 2009, Michael Green was associate dean for six years and associate vice president since 2007 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. He began his teaching career in 1990 as part of Augustana’s Department of Music, and served as chair of that department for five years. He received degrees from Illinois State University, Indiana University, and his doctorate from the University of Iowa. He has performed as an orchestral and freelance bass trombonist in a wide variety of venues in addition to his teaching and administrative responsibilities.

Shannon Brandt
Assistant Dean for Student Success and Advising

Shannon Brandt came to LVC in July 2009 after working at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., where she was assistant director of academic advising within the First Year College. She also worked at the University of Central Florida as assistant director for the First Year Academic Exploration Program. For the last 15 years, she has loved being part of the higher education environment. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Alvernia University in Reading and a master’s degree in higher education counseling, both from West Chester University.

Ann Damiano
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

Ann Damiano started as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in August 2010. Prior to this appointment, she spent 26 years as an administrator and adjunct faculty member at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York where she directed the college’s academic assessment efforts, student academic support services and developmental education offerings. She has previously served on two steering committees for Middle States reaccreditation and also worked on reports for accrediting agencies in nursing education and teacher education. At Lebanon Valley College, she will continue to provide leadership and direct assessment initiatives as well as edit the college’s self-study document that will be submitted to Middle States as part of the reaccreditation process.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts in English from the State University College of New York at Buffalo and earned a Masters degree in Composition Theory from the University of Buffalo. She graduated from Drew University, earning a doctorate with distinction in 2010.


Mary Fisher
Administrative Assistant to the VPAA/Dean of the Faculty

Since 1999, Mary Fisher has served in various clerical and administrative positions at LVC. She worked for two years in the Office of the Registrar before moving eight years ago to the office of Administration and Finance. This year she assumed her current role as administrative assistant in Academic Affairs. 

Wendy Smith
Secretary for Academic Services

Wendy Smith joined Academic Affairs in September of 2008 as the secretary for Academic Services.  Prior to that time she worked in the Registrar's office for 1 year, and later served as secretary for the Arnold Sports Center for 1 ½  years.
