Video Conference Facility
The
College's video conference room seats 21 persons and
houses equipment from Vtel that provides two-way, interactive
audio and video connections
at speeds ranging from 112K to 384K. The room can also receive programming from a
satellite downlink (C-Band) over the campus cable system.
Presenters who use the room have multi-media capabilities at their fingertips. The system provides the ability to display computer graphics; play video tapes; access the campus network and the Internet; display documents, transparencies and photographs; and much more. Any of these items can also be transmitted to a remote site during a live video conference.

Point-to-Point Videoconference

Prices include telecommunications charges for calls within the United States. You will be billed in 15-minute increments including the period of time for the video conference itself plus any additional time for testing or certification related to the conference.
Multi-Point Videoconference
Same as above plus separate charges for use of a multi-point bridge
($55/hour if using V-SPAN, the bridging company used by the college).
Unlike a point-to-point videoconference where only one site incurs
network charges, in a multi-point conference each site pays network
charges in addition to the cost of using the multi-point bridge.
