While Valley Ambassadors and Admission Counselors are busy every day with campus tours and answering questions from prospective students, the College hosts a variety of large events for high school students and their parents.
The first of those programs is an Open House for prospective physical therapy majors on Saturday, March 17 in the Heilman Center. The physical therapy curriculum at LVC includes pre-professional courses in biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, sociology, psychology, and English, and a significant liberal arts component to the program. All students gain substantial clinical experience at regional and national healthcare organizations. Graduates of the highly competitive six-year program receive a bachelor of health science and doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree.
The 30th Annual International Culture Day for high school students will take place in Arnold Sports Center on Friday, March 23. More than 600 local students studying Spanish, French, and German will swarm the campus to participate in a variety of events and contests to test their international knowledge. International Culture Day is sponsored by the Languages Department and Office of Admission and exposes local students to the College’s dynamic environment and promotion of multicultural activities.
Members of the Lebanon Valley College Class of 2016 will visit campus on Saturday, March 24, for LVC Live, a program designed exclusively for all accepted students. This program gives students the opportunity to interact with faculty from all academic departments, mingle with current students, and learn about the many student groups available to join on campus. Parents are also encouraged to attend to have any remaining questions answered by the Parents’ Council. Students can register online, or by calling 1-866-LVC-4ADM.
The College will open its campus to all prospective students for the traditional Open House program on Saturday, March 31. The Open House includes a tour of the beautiful campus, a meeting with faculty in a student’s area of interest, an admission presentation, and plenty of interaction with current LVC students. It provides a comprehensive visit experience for prospective students and their families.
