| Timothy Wolfe to Perform Bass Concert Sept. 23 |

Lebanon Valley College alumnus and adjunct instructor of music Timothy Wolfe will present an electric and string bass recital September 23 at 3 p.m. in Zimmerman Recital Hall of the Suzanne H. Arnold Gallery at the College. The concert is free and open to the public.
Wolfe's program will include the Allegro from G.B Cimador's "Double Bass Concerto in G major," Arvo Pärt's "Spiegel im Spiegel," a few movements from J.S. Bach's "Third Cello Suite," and some of his original jazz compositions. Wolfe will be accompanied by Jeff Lovell, LVC assistant professor of music, on the piano. A 2007 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Wolfe was a member of the symphony orchestra and the jazz ensemble as a student. He studied bass with Jim Miller and jazz improvisation with Tom Strohman and earned the D. Clark and Edna Carmean Award for Orchestra. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in music, Wolfe continued his studies at The University of the Arts, earning a master's of music in jazz studies while studying bass with Kevin MacConnell.
Wolfe has performed throughout Central Pennsylvania, the greater Philadelphia and Baltimore-Washington areas, New York City, and Boston. In 2008, he was invited to perform at the Novosibirsk International Jazz Festival in Siberia, Russia. Other notable performances include the Philadelphia Museum of Art's "Art After Five" series and the Lehigh Valley Saengerbund Orchestra. At LVC, Wolfe teaches upright bass, electric bass, jazz improvisation, and directs the small jazz ensemble.
