Vickroy Hall Wins Dueling Dutchman Wing Bowl IV
02.04.13 |
On Thursday, January 31 in the Mund College Center Dining Hall more than 7.5 pounds of chicken wings were consumed during the annual Dueling Dutchman Wing Bowl. Nine competitors, representing their residence halls as well as commuting students, came together in hopes of putting their team ahead in the Dueling Dutchman rankings. The winner, Colin Catherman, represented Vickroy Hall and received 50 points for his ability to eat 1.2 pounds of wings in five minutes.

The Dueling Dutchman events are a series of activities that allow each residence hall (along with commuters and non-traditional housing) to compete against each other for a variety of points. Each month throughout the school year there is one competition that is designed to bring each hall closer together and promote healthy, fun competition. At the end of spring semester all of the points are counted and the winning hall gets a celebratory party in their honor.
