Curt Cenci '11 of Emmaus, a mathematical sciences major at Lebanon Valley College, won a $100 prize in January at the Mathematical Association of America Undergraduate Poster Session in San Francisco. Cenci won one of 32 cash prizes awarded out of 233 entries from across the United States. His poster was titled “Quantum Information and 1-Dimensional Stabilizers in Multiparty States,” and was based on research he conducted during the summer of 2009 under the direction of LVC faculty advisors David Lyons, Ph.D., of the Mathematical Sciences Department and Scott Walck, Ph.D. of the Physics Department. The poster session was part of the national Joint Meetings of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society.
