Lebanon Valley College Friday Night Comedy Series Kicks Off Aug. 22 with the Return of Adam Grabowski
08.18.14 |
Comedian Adam Grabowski will kick off the Friday Night Comedy Series for the 2014 fall semester at Lebanon Valley College on Friday, August 22 at 9 p.m. in Lutz Hall of the Blair Music Center. The show is free and open to the public.

Grabowski, a 26-year-old who used his professional procrastination skills to put off grad school upon graduating from the University of Illinois with a psychology degree, became a college comedian. While his humor is designed for a college audience, Grabowski takes pride in the absence of sexist, racist, stereotypical or offensive comments during his shows. He often uses humorous graphs, like "Your feelings toward the song 'Call Me Maybe' vs. Your Location" to keep the audience's eyes visually engaged and their laughter rolling.

His comedic style has earned him numerous awards, including being named Campus Activities Magazine's highest rated comedian three years in a row. Grabowski was voted 2012's "Fastest Rising Star" and was 2013’s comic of the year, becoming the youngest comedian to ever win the award.

The Friday Night Comedy Series at Lebanon Valley College is sponsored by the Student Programming Board and includes performances by comedian John Cassidy on Aug. 29, comedian Landry on Sept. 5, comedian Michael Kent on Sept. 12, comedian Jay Black on Sept. 19, comedian Jonathan Burns on Sept. 26, comedy improv Mission Improvable on Oct. 10, comedian Francisco Ramos on Nov. 7, ventriloquist Megan Piphus on Nov. 21, and an End of the Year Bash with a performer to be announced later this fall.
