04.23.13 |
Lebanon Valley College's Small Jazz Ensemble will perform a free and public concert Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Lutz Hall of the Blair Music Center. This semester's ensemble theme is contemporary music.

Material for the group ranges from new compositions by living jazz artists to rock and roll and folk music from other parts of the musical world. The performance will feature works by Radiohead, Andrew Bird, Sound Garden, and more. Each student in the group is responsible for transcribing and arranging a song for the ensemble.

The Small Jazz Ensemble provides an opportunity to study America's rich heritage of improvised music. Participation is by invitation of the director, Timothy Wolfe, adjunct assistant professor of music.
