Do you believe in ghosts? Lebanon Valley College has its share of legendary hauntings on campus, and those stories were featured in July 11 episode of “School Spirits” on SyFy. Episode 103 “Collision Curse/Deadly Dorm Games” included interviews from numerous LVC faculty, alumni, and staff.

Dr. Kevin Pry, LVC associate professor of English, was instrumental in bringing this episode to fruition. A ghost story enthusiast, Pry leads the annual “Ghost Tour” on campus each fall during Oktoberfest.
Last summer, Pry and more than a dozen other students, alumni, and staff were interviewed when a team of videographers from SyFy descended upon campus to learn about the paranormal experiences at LVC. Wednesday’s episode will tell a few of those stories, such as a woman haunted by the victim of a deadly car crash that occurred near the College. It will also portray two roommates pulling pranks in their dorm, but the spirit of a little girl hit by a train near their dorm gets the last laugh.
"Weird stuff happens," said Dr. Lou Manza, chair and professor of psychology. Manza teaches a course in paranormal phenomena and junk science at LVC and researches why people believe in ghosts. Huge numbers of people have had some experience they cannot explain, he said in an interview with the LA Times. In the upcoming episode of “School Spirits,” Pry says more than 200 people have seen the “little girl in Mary Green Hall.”
