Craig Sharnetzka ’96, John Coles ’98, and David Warner Jr. ’02 were among the 2013 recipients of the 40 Under 40 Awards, presented by the Central Penn Business Journal.

These awards honor local business executives under 40 years of age for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and community service.

Sharnetzka, a member of the CGA Law Firm, based out of East Berlin, Pa., focuses in the areas of municipal law, real estate, bankruptcy, and estate planning and administration. He represents a number of municipalities in the capacity of solicitor, routinely drafting ordinances, resolutions, and contracts, and advising council members and elected and appointed officials and employees in matters such as open meeting laws, planning, zoning, economic development, personnel, capacity, and other matters.

“My education at Lebanon Valley College and mentorship from Dr. John Norton (pre-law advisor and emeritus political science professor) was instrumental in my acceptance to and graduation from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law,” Sharnetzka said. “I owe a debt of gratitude to LVC and Dr. Norton.”

Sharnetzka is also experienced in representing the interests of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. He has worked in debt collection techniques and has enjoyed success in collecting both secured and unsecured debts through the use of legal means, including liens, structured repayments, and litigation, when necessary.

Coles, a partner at Rhoads & Sinon LLP, located in Harrisburg, Pa., is involved in financial institutions, corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions practice groups and currently serves as chair of the real estate practice group with the firm. He regularly assists business clients with a wide variety of general corporate issues, including entity formation, mergers, and stock asset acquisitions.

Coles has also provided counsel on commercial real estate, commercial leasing, planned communities, condominiums, and the financing of all types of commercial transactions. Additionally, he works regularly with the firm’s commercial landlord clients who have been faced with tenant bankruptcies and has defended clients faced with bankruptcy preference claims and other adversary proceedings.

Finally, Warner is a partner with the Buzgon Davis Law Offices, concentrating on personal injury, family law, collections, Social Security disability, estate planning, and criminal defense.

Warner graduated summa cum laude from LVC with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. He received his juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October, 2007.
Warner is active in the Lebanon County Bar Association, the Lebanon Valley Young Professionals, the Lebanon Rental Property Owners Association, the Lebanon Rotary Club, the Lebanon Transit Authority, and the Palmyra Business Association.
