Show Your LVC Pride on College Colors Day, August 30
08.26.13 |
Lebanon Valley College joins schools across the nation in celebration of College Colors Day on Friday, August 30, marking the opening of the fall athletics season. Dutchmen alumni, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to don LVC blue and white to demonstrate their Valley pride, enter to win great prizes, and receive discounts across campus.

Wearing blue and white on Friday to participate in College Colors Days is a great way for Dutchmen to kick off the fall athletic season, as men’s soccer plays their first home game of the 2013-2014 year. The team will face St. Joseph's College (New York) at 4 p.m., and a celebratory tailgate for all students, faculty, and staff will take place at Herbert Field.

All participants are encouraged to share their photos on the College Facebook page or by tweeting a picture with the hashtag #LVCcolors to @LVC. Three winners will be selected from the alumni, student, and staff photo entries to receive a gift certificate to the College Store.

Support the campus and stock up on LVC colors at the College Store during their buy-on-get-one-50 percent off sale on Champion apparel (through Sept. 1) or during a special one-day 50 percent off clearance sale on Thursday, Aug. 29. You can also stop by Intermetzo Café in Lynch on College Colors Day to receive 10 percent off your entire order just for sporting your favorite LVC apparel.

A yearly event sponsored by the Collegiate Licensing Company, College Colors Day event is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the overall college experience by encouraging people across America to wear apparel featuring the school colors of their favorite college or university. It coincides nationally with many “back to school” events and the first football weekend of the 2013 season for numerous schools. More than 200 schools participate in the event.

Initiated by Collegiate Licensing Company in partnership with NCAA Football, College Colors Day serves as a means to increase public awareness about the achievements and contributions of higher education.
