Lebanon Valley College Again Named a Military Friendly School
09.25.13 |
Lebanon Valley College has again been named a Military Friendly School for 2014 by Victory Media, a veteran-owned business and publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine and the Guide to Military Friendly Schools. The 2014 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools that do the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

The fifth-annual Military Friendly Schools list was released on the heels of President Obama’s “8 Keys to Success," the administration's step-by-step guide to supporting veterans on campus. Lebanon Valley College has long been a supporter of area military families and partner on local military initiatives, particularly with the National Guard Training Center at Fort Indiantown Gap. There are currently 30 undergraduate and graduate students on campus supported by veterans benefits. Learn more about LVC's veterans and military education benefits at the Financial Aid Office website.

The 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a free, data-driven, survey of more than 10,000 VA-approved schools nationwide. The survey results that comprise the 2014 list were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media. Each year, schools taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Board (AAB) consisting of educators from schools across the country.
