Lebanon Valley Graduates Welcomed Back for Alumni Weekend 2013
05.28.13 |
The Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement has planned a weekend for alumni to remember, return, and reunite at Alumni Weekend, scheduled for June 7–9, 2013. New this year to the program is a Friday night backyard movie and a “Return to the Classroom” series featuring “Critters Beyond Your Back Door” with Jack Hubley ’73.

Dr. Lewis Evitts Thayne, LVC president, will present “2013 and Beyond: Progress and Priorities for Lebanon Valley College” and attend his first Alumni Weekend at the Valley. Alumni are encouraged to take the opportunity to meet Dr. Thayne and welcome him to this celebrated tradition.

Classes ending in 3 and 8 are celebrating reunion years at Alumni Weekend, and it is a great time for former classmates to re-connect. The Class of 1963 will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, and a committee of seven alumni has volunteered their time to organize a special reunion.

Alumni will gather for the Awards Reception and Dinner, where the College will present Alumni Citations, Young Alumni Awards, a Creative Achievement Award, and the June Herr Outstanding Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Jerald G. Bachman ’58 will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the College’s top honor for a former student.
