High-achieving recent graduates of Lebanon Valley College's business undergraduate program have one less hurdle to pursuing continued education: they will now be automatically admitted to the LVC Master of Business Administration program. Eligible students must have graduated in 2010 or later and earned at least a 3.4 GPA from the College's business administration, economics, or accounting majors.

"Lebanon Valley's undergraduate Business and Economics Department is thorough and rigorous and prepares students through classroom learning and hands-on experiences," said Brenda Adams, director of the MBA program. "Students learn more than just the fundamentals of business, but also develop critical thinking, creativity, and communications skills. If they perform at high levels in that program, they are more than adequately prepared to advance into our MBA program."

The College's MBA program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills that pay off in the real world. Small, seminar-style classes allow students to learn directly from professors and professionals with years of successful experience in small business, corporate America, and international trade so students can begin applying what they learn almost immediately.

"Our graduates advance into positions of increased leadership and authority due to the knowledge and skills gained through their LVC MBA experience," Adams added.

The 12-course, 36-credit program is completed by most students in 24-30 months. The curriculum emphasizes developing strong critical thinking, effective communication, and ethical, evidence-based decision-making skills. MBA coursework balances theory and practical application in order to develop both the knowledge and skills most valued in the workplace.

"Lebanon Valley College's MBA Program offers full-time, working professionals a valuable opportunity to earn a MBA degree while developing business skills and knowledge, a strong business network, lifelong friends, and personal growth," said Doug Byers, senior vice president of cash management at Susquehanna Bank and Class of 2012 MBA graduate.

LVC MBA graduates are employed by organizations in Central Pennsylvania such as Bayer, Hershey, TE Connectivity, Ahold U.S.A., Tyco, Gannett-Fleming, Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster General Health, Intermediate Unit 13, Capital Blue Cross, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Fort Indiantown Gap, Wells Fargo, and the Veterans Administration.

Qualified LVC business graduates must submit a personal statement, résumé, and online application. All other applicants must also possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and have completed at least three years of post-bachelor's professional work experience prior to applying. Applicants with less experience, but a very strong undergraduate record (3.4 or higher GPA) or satisfactory performance on the GMAT, may be considered for admission.
