I want to come back to school. What do I need to do to get started?

Returning to school can be overwhelming. Let us help you! The best way to get started is to schedule a meeting with an academic advisor. The meeting will allow you the opportunity to share your goals, aspirations, and education plans for the future. We will take the time to listen and make recommendations to help you achieve your goals. To set up an appointment, please call 717-867-6213 or toll free at 1-877-877-0423. We look forward to working with you!

How do I find out what classes are being offered?

Lebanon Valley College offers day, evening, and weekend classes. Our convenient schedule can be accessed by clicking here or on one of the many schedule links throughout the site. You can search by term and date range. 

How do I apply?

Our application process is extremely efficient. Simply click on one of the apply links within the site and fill out the application form. If you have completed 24 or more college credit hours at the time of application please have all of your official college transcripts mailed to us. If you have not completed 24 semester hours of college work prior to your application, please have your official high school transcript mailed to us. Please note that there is a $30 application fee.

Do I need to apply before I take a course?

No. Students may take courses as non-matriculated students (students not pursuing a particular program of study). We limit the number of courses you may take as a non-matriculated student. For more information, please contact our office. Please remember that before you register for a course, you must speak with an academic advisor; call 1-877-877-0423 or 717-867-6213.

How do I register for classes?

Please speak with an academic advisor before you register for courses. We are here to assist you with your academic decisions. Once you have spoken to an advisor and you are ready to submit your registration, simply click on one of the registration links within the site and fill out the registration form. Prior to filling out your form, be sure to have the following information available: course abbreviation, course number, term you plan to take the course, and the days and times the course meets. 

How do I access my grades?

Lebanon Valley College offers a wonderful tool, MyLVC. MyLVC is a student portal system that allows you to access information. There is a page you can customize as well as other pages that will provide campus news and information. If you click on the MyLVC link to the left and enter your username and password you will have access to a wealth of information. One of the areas within MyLVC is ACCESS. ACCESS allows you to view your grades, transfer evaluations, unofficial transcripts, and schedule. 

How do I obtain transcripts?

All official transcripts must be obtained through the Registrar's Office. You can request a transcript online by clicking here.  You may also contact the Registrar's Office at 717-867-6215.

How do I find out if classes are canceled?

Classes at Lebanon Valley College are very rarely canceled. There are times during the school year however, when classes are canceled for weather related circumstances. If evening classes are canceled a decision will be made by 3 p.m. and the cancellation will be announced on the LVC home page and local media outlets. Day classes canceled for weather related circumstances will also appear on the LVC home page and on local media outlets by 6 a.m. Courses canceled for non-weather related circumstances will be communicated through phone or email.

What degrees do you offer?

Lebanon Valley College offers a variety of academic programs. We offer certificates, associate degrees, bachelor degrees and master degrees. For a complete listing of our offerings, please view our "at a glance" or "programs" pages.

How do I get certified to teach?

Teacher certification can be a complicated process, but at LVC we have many resources to assist you. Begin by contacting the continuing education office. Once we know that you are interested in teacher certification we will send you information regarding the teacher certification process and meet with you regarding your academic plans. Once you have determined the type of certification you plan to pursue we will put you in contact with our education deparment who will provide appropriate academic advising.
